Hazelnut squares with hot choclate sauce

75g ground hazelnuts 175g skimmed milk powder 1tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder 190g light brown sugar 100g unsalted butter,diced,plus extra greasing 3 eggs beaten 35g blanched hazelnuts finnaly chopped
choclate sauce 125ml double cream 115g dark choclate ,broken into small pieces 2tbsp hazelnut flavoured liqueur optional

Prep. Time → 30min min

Cook Time → 1hr15min min

1. preheat the oven to 160 degrees. grease a 20 cm 8 inch square cake tin or a 28 by 18 cm /11 by 7 inch rectanguler tin. put the ground hazelnuts,milk powder,cocoa powder and sugar into a large bowland mix well. melt the butter in a small saucepan over a low heat. pour over the hazelnuts mixture and mix well. stir in the beaten eggs.transfer the mixture to the prepared cake tin ,level the surface,then sprinkle over the chopped hazelnuts. bake int he oven for 1hr 15 min. turn out into a serving plate and cut into squares. to make the sauce put the cream into a small saucepan over a very low heat and bring to the boil,stirring. remove from the heat add the choclate and stirr until melted. stir in the liqueur,if using, then serve the hot choclate sauce with the cake,eitherpoured over the top or separatly.
