Mini strawberry shortcake recipe

(For the shortcakes:)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup confectioner sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 stick of cold butter: cut into cubes
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup heavy cream (cold)
1 egg yolk, beaten
1 egg wash: (one egg beaten with a touch of water)
1 additional sugar, for sprinkling on top

(For the berries and cream)
5 fresh sliced strawberries
1 zest of orange
2 Tbsp confectioner sugar
1 juice of half an orange
1 ready whipped cream

1. 1. Line a rectangle baking sheet, with parchment paper.

2. 2.In a bowl, add flour. Baking powder and salt. Sugar: mix together.

3. 3.Add the butter. Mix again.

4. 4.While mixing, add egg yolk, and heavy cream.

5. 5.use hands to make a square shape dough,

6. 6.Use a bussit cutter or a cup, and cut 6 circle shapes, and put on baking sheet.

7. 7.Put egg wash over the circle cut shapes on top, and sprinkle some sugar on top.

8. 8.Put in oven 350* for 25 mins. Till lightly golden brown:

9. 9.Cut strawberries, and put in bowl. (And put a few aside to garnish on top)

10. 10.Sprinkle some sugar on top of strawberries. Zest with orange, and juice of orange too. Mix together: Cover and put in fridge for 20 mins.

11. 11.Take one shortcake, and cut in half to fill:

12. 12.Take the strawberry flavor in bowl, and fill the mini shortcake: Top the strawberries in shortcake with whip cream ^. Put top on, more whip cream on top.

13. 13.Take a slice strawberry, and put on top.
