Auto post on facebook after adding a new recipe

I just added a new recipe to my account. How come it didn't auto post to facebook or ask me if it should auto-post to facebook?
I'm also not sure how to post now.
I have not had mine go automatically but there is a sharing button on the right hand side towards the bottom of the section.
