Slow cooker pork chops (normandy style)

1 tbsp oil
600g pork chops
1 large onion chopped
2 carrots cut into chunky pieces
2 celery sticks cut into chunky pieces
200g smoked bacon lardons
250ml cider (or 100ml apple juice + 3tbsp cider vinegar + 100ml water)
2 apples cored and cut into chunky pieces
1 bay leaf
3-4 thyme sprigs
140g creme fraiche
1-2 tbsp dijon mustard
1-2 tsp cornflour
400ml chicken stock

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 420 min

1. Fry the lardons in the pan until crispy

2. Add some oil (if needed) and fry the onions, carrots and celery until soft

3. Pour in the cider and bubble for a minute.

4. Add the apples, stock, herbs and pork chops.

5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

6. Add the creme fraiche and mustard at the end and cook on high for 5 minutes.

7. Serve with veggies.
