Sparkling wine slushy of Forbidden - Recipefy

2 and a half cups sugar
625ml water
1 bottle sparkling wine of your choice

Prep. Time → 10 min

Cook Time → 15 min

1. fill large bowl with ice water

2. combine sugar and water in medium saucepan and bring to boil

3. cook until sugar has dissolved and slightly thick

4. transfer the pot to large bowl of ice water to cool completely

5. add sparkling wine to sugar syrup and stir to combine

6. pour into freezer-proof dish and place in freezer for 30min

7. after 30min, scrape with fork to create icy particles

8. return to freezer and scrape every 20min until mixture is frozen

9. *I am allergic to alcohol so I use sparkling grape juice. It freezes a lot faster, so freezer time decreases substantially, but still tastes great!!
