Classic Lasagne

Ingredienti per 4-6 people
olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
half cut grated carrot
2 cans chopped tomato
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup water
half cup red wine
2 teaspoons beef stock powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon dried oregano
salt and ground pepper, to taste
750ml white sauce
500g lasagne pasta sheets
1 cup grated cheddar
- Preparazione → 20 min
- Cottura → 120 min

1 Heat a bit of olive oil in a large saucepan. Brown meat and vegetables.
2 Add remaining ingredients and allow to simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally and adding more water if needed.
3 Layer meat, sauce, paste sheets and white sauce in two alternating layers.
4 Top with cheese and allow to stand for 15min.
5 Bake at 180C for 30-45min, or until pasta is tender and top is well browned.
