Fried Dougnuts

Ingredienti per 5 Dougnuts
500g Plain flour
1 egg
250ml milk
100g melted butter
1tsp ground nutmeg
250g caster sugar
50g ground cinnamon
1tsp bread yeast
- Preparazione → 10 min
- Cottura → 5 min
- Difficoltà → Facile
1 Put the egg, milk and melted butter in a mixing bowl
2 Sift in the flour, ground nutmeg and the bread yeast
3 Mix them all together into a dough then leave it to one side for 30 minutes for the yeast to get to work, the dough will double in size
4 Roll the dough into an inch thick sheet
5 Take a couple of cookie cutters (one big, one small) and cut the dough into dougnut shapes
6 Place the dougnuts into a deep fryer or a pan of vegetable oil for 5 minutes at 190 degrees untill they are golden brown
7 Drain off the oil, let them cool abit and enjoy :)
