Backpackers french toast

Ingredients for 4-6 people
12 slices white bread
15 oz egg beaters (or equivalent dehydrated eggs)
8 oz cinnamon applesauce
1 Tbsp oil
1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
Maple syrup

Directions
1. Rehydrate strawberries while French toast is cooking.
2. Heat oil on medium heat in medium-size frying pan. Mix together applesauce and eggs in a bowl. Dip one slice of bread in the egg mix and coat on both sides; place on skillet and cook a few minutes, until browned. Flip to cook the other side.
3. Top cooked toast with berries and syrup and serve.
