Chocolate chilli cake of Forbidden - Recipefy

cake
240g cake flour
40g cocoa powder
5ml bicarbonate of soda
pinch of salt
200g butter
310g castor sugar
5ml vanilla essence
250ml buttermilk
2 large eggs

icing
125g butter
210g icing sugar
45ml cocoa powder
5ml vanilla extract
5ml chilli powder
30-45ml milk
fresh raspberries, to garnish

Prep. Time → 30 min

Cook Time → 25-30 min

1. preheat oven to 180C and grease 2 20cm cake tins

2. for cake:
sift flour, cocoa, bicarb and salt

3. cream butter, sugar an vanilla together until fluffy. Add buttermilk and eggs, alternating with sifted dry ingredients

4. spoon mixture into tins and bake until skewer inserted comes out clean, about 25-30min

5. cool for 5 min then turn onto rack to cool completely

6. for icing:
beat butter until soft.

7. sift icing sugar and cocoa and add to butter.

8. add vanilla, chilli and enough milk to make spreadable consistency

9. sandwich together two cakes with half of icing. top with remaining icing

10. garnish with raspberries and serve
