Coconut almond squares

3/4 cup butter
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 cup chopped almonds
3/4 cup shredded coconut
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Powdered sugar

Cook Time → 20-25 min

1. Preheat oven to 375.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Stir in flour.
Pat mixture into a greased 9 by 13-inch pan .
Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Combine brown sugar and beaten egg yolks.
Blend well.
Add almonds and coconut.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Pour over crust and return to oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool.
Cut into 1-inch squares and dust with powdered sugar.
