Cornish Pasties. of David Le Mottee - Recipefy

1 potato, peeled and diced
1 carrot, diced
1 onion, diced
8 oz of lean steak, chopped
500g pack of shortcrust pastry
1 egg, beaten

Prep. Time → 30 min's min

Cook Time → 25 min min

1. Preheat the oven to 220.
Mix the potato, carrot, onion and steak..
Roll out the pastry and using a saucer, cut out 4 rounds.
Divide the filling between them and brush
the pastry edges with egg.

2. Bring up the edges of each pastry to meet at the top.
Crimp the edges by pinching gently with the finger and
thimb to seal.

3. Put on a baking sheet and brush with egg.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 180 and bake for
another 20 minutes.
