French Silk Pie of Jasmine DK Shepard - Recipefy

3/4 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
3 large Egg
2-3 ounces semi sweet chocolate (if more than 50% cacao use 2oz)
tablespoon Vanilla extract
1 cooked pie crust
whipped cream for topping
Cocoa powder, Chocolate Shavings, chips etc for topping.

Prep. Time → 30 min

1. let butter soften to room temperature

2. melt chocolate, set aside

3. whip butter until smooth

4. add sugar, one quarter at a time. allow ample time so mixture is smooth not gritty

5. add chocolate scrap sides

6. add vanilla

7. beat in eggs, one at a time. Be sure that each egg is fully incorporated before adding another egg. Filling will be light brown and quite fluffy.

8. Let chill for at least 4 hours.

9. Before serving top with Whipped Cream and Desired garnish.

10. Notes: Please, please, don't use cool whip for this recipe. Go the extra mile and whip the cream. I prefer to use whipped cream that is half as sweet as I normally make it. I used to make this as a assistant pastry chef but when I make it at home I like to garnish with cocoa powder.
