Moorish Chocolate Flapjacks of Sarah Blackler - Recipefy

4 oz butter (not marg!)
1 and 1/2 oz caster sugar
1 tbsp molasses or treacle
3oz big oats
3oz little oats (don't worry if all same size, but flaps jacks will be denser with small ones)
1 tbsp desiccated coconut
Handful sultanas or chopped dates or cherries
1 tbsp cocoa
Pinch salt

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 17 min

1. Melt butter, sugar, molasses.
Mix in everything else.
Press down into a baking tin about 8" square. Line the bottom with butter paper or greaseproof paper.

2. Gas mark 5, 17 min. Don't overcook, if at all brown at edges take out quick :)
Score surface when warm. They will firm up when cool and can be taken out of the tin.

3. Freeze well. Store well for 4 days.
