1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp coca powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened at room temp
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 red food coloring

(for the frosting:)
2 cups powdered sugar
4 oz cream cheese, softened at room temp
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened at room temp
1 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

1. 1. Preheat oven to 350*. Take a muffin tin, and line them with liners.

2. 2.In a standing mixer, add room temp butter and sugar: mix together.

3. 3. Once mixed, add egg & vanilla extract.

4. 4.In the bowl with the flour, add in the cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt; mix together a little:

5. 5.Add half of the dry ingredients bowl in standing mixer, and half of butter milk: let mix together.

6. 6.Add in remaining dry Ingredients, and buttermilk: mix till combined.

7. 7.Take off standing mixer, stir with spatula: and add in red food coloring: mix and see: till good red color:

8. 8.Use ice cream scooper, and use batter in muffin tin: put in oven 350*, for 22 mins: when done, let cool completely.

9. 9.For frosting: In standing mixer, add powdered sugar, cream cheese, and butter: and vanilla extract:

10. 10.Mix together to combine and when mixed, add the tsp of milk; mix again.

11. 11.Put frosting in piping bag, take one cupcake, and frost right in the middle: let set in fridge 20 mins.
