Sausage and Potato Slow Cooker Soup  of Becky Isla - Recipefy

500g Italian Sausage
3 strips bacon
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
hot sauce (optional, to taste)
chili powder (optional, to taste)
crushed chili peppers (optional, to taste)
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
1 liter chicken stock (or water and bullion cubes)
3-4 medium potatoes
3 cloves of garlic
1 medium red onion
1/4 bunch kale
1/2 heavy cream or half & half
1-2 cups small pasta- mini shells, orzo, wheels... (optional)

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 240- 360 min

1. take the sausage out of the casing and crumble into the slow cooker, cut the bacon into small pieces and add to the sausage

2. add the seasonings (Italian seasoning, hot sauce, chili powder, chili peppers, salt and pepper). mix well

3. pour in the chicken stock

4. prepare the vegetables:
potatoes cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces
coarsely chop the kale
dice the red onion
chop the garlic

5. add to the slow cooker

6. add the cream. Mix well. cook on low for 4-6 hours

7. if adding the pasta, turn the slow cooker off and stir in the pasta 10-15 minutes before serving. Or, cook the pasta on the stove and add to the soup before right before serving
