Sweet Chilli Fishcakes of Forbidden - Recipefy

500g frozen hake
30ml extra virgin olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
3 slices white bread, crusts removed and crumbed
1 egg
15ml sweet chilli sauce
30ml mayonnaise
30ml dijon mustard (I never add this)
finely grated zest and juice of 1 lemon

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 25 min

1. preheat oven to 200C

2. place hake fillets on baking tray, drizzle with olive oil and season to taste

3. bake for 15min or until cooked

4. combine bread crumbs, egg, sweet chilli sauce, mayo, mustard, lemon zest and juice.

5. Flake cooked hake into mixture and season

6. cover hands in cornflour (I am allergic so I use cake flour) and roll 8 equally sized fishcakes

7. place on baking tray in fridge for 20min

8. bake in preheated oven for 10min each side

9. serve with mayo and salsa if preferred
