Peanut Chutney (Solapur Style) de PCG - Recipefy

3 bowls peanuts, 8-10 cloves of garlic, 2 tablespoon red chilli powder, salt to taste, 3-4 stems of curry patta leaves, a small pinch of jaggery (size of a peanut), Jeera

T. Preparacion → 10 min

T. Cocinado → 15 min

1. Nicely roast (until they turn a faint red color) peanuts in a kadai and clean them off their skin

2. Add garlic, salt, curry leaves, jaggery, little bit of jeera and peanuts in to the large jar of the mixer and blend it coarse

3. Add red chilly powder and blend it further, but keep it coarse

4. Check the taste and add salt, chilly powder or garlic as needed

5. In small batches, take the coarse blend into the small jar and blend it further. it will start getting finer and should leave out a little oil on its own

6. Chutney is ready. You can eat this with chapati or bread. You can also add a little bit of ghee or curds before eating

7. There is a snack called chutney paav that you get in Solapur in Maharashtra which uses this chutney as the base and adds a liquidy blend of tamarind (imli), jaggery and jeera to it. This liquid paste is then poured over sliced bread till it soaks it. Sprinkle sev on top of this and serve.
