Healthy wholemeal scones with orange, honey and currants of Forbidden - Recipefy

225g (1 and a half cup) whole-wheat flour
10ml baking powder
pinch of salt
40g (quarter cup) butter, cubed
125ml (half cup) currants (a type of raisin)
zest of 1 orange
30ml honey
1 large egg
190ml Greek yoghurt, plus extra for brushing
honey, to serve

Prep. Time → 20 min

Cook Time → 30 min

1. preheat oven to 180C and grease and line a baking dish

2. place dry ingredients in bowl and rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Add currants and orange zest

3. whisk honey, egg and yoghurt together and stir into dry mixture

4. pat dough into a round shape the size of a large dinner plate. Place it in baking dish and cut into 8-10 wedges

5. brush with extra yoghurt

6. bake until golden brown, about 20-30min
