Cheesy potato supreme

2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 pt. sour cream
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups crushed corn flakes
1/4 cup melted butter

1. Defrost potatoes. Combine butter (first measurement), salt, pepper, onions, soup, sour cream, and cheese. Mix thoroughly with potatoes. Pour into a 3 quart casserole dish. Saute corn flakes in melted butter (second measurement) and spread over top of mixture. Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. May be made ahead of time and frozen.
