Cherry madeira cake

180g margarine
180g castor sugar
3 eggs
240g flour, sifted
10ml baking powder
pinch of salt
2ml vanilla essence
250g glace cherries
120g icing sugar

Preparazione → 10 min

Cottura → 60 min

1. cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. beat eggs in gradually

3. fold in sifted flour, baking powder and salt

4. add vanilla essence and halved cherries, mix

5. pour into prepared loaf tins (225mm x 125mm) and bake for one hour at 180 degrees Celsius

6. Turn our and cool
