Crock pot meatballs recipe
Ricetta di1 For the meatballs (for a large batch)
3 lbs fresh ground beef
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1/4 tsp fennel seeds
1/2 cup freshly grated parm
2 cloves of garlic
1 small yellow onion
1 tsp italian seasoning
1 salt and pepper to taste
(for the sauce:)
1/2 cup red wine
2 4 oz can of tomato puree
14 oz can of crushed tomatoes
1 yellow onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
10 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 tsp italian seasoning
1 salt and pepper
1. *Serve over pasta*
2. 1. In a food processor, pulse onion, garlic, and funnel seed. Like puree texture:
3. 2. Add onion puree on top of ground meat: Add salt and pepper, and Italian seasoning, eggs, bread crumbs, grated parm: Mix together:
4. 3.Take Ice cream scooper, make circles and put on clean plate.
5. 4.Take crock pot and put layer of olive oil on bottom so it won't stick;
6. 5.Put on high for 2 hours:
7. 6.when done, add tomato puree, crushed tomatoes, red wine, bell pepper, garlic, mushrooms & onions; italian seasoning, salt and pepper: few leaves of fresh basil:
8. 7.Lid on, back on 2 hours and 45 mins on high: After an hour, give a good stir.
9. 8.Stir over pasta
