1 lb Angel food cake
1 strawberry jello - family size
1 quart frozen strawberries in syrup
1 tsp citric acid (or two TBL of lemon juice)
2 cups water

1. This is one my mom used to make. She would get an angel-food cake just a bit smaller than the Jello mold and not break it up. That works too. But I made this for Halloween and made a Jello Brain. This is quite impressive.

2. 1. Follow directions for making the strawberry jello using 2 cups of water - 1 boiling, the other cold.

3. 2. Break up angel-food cake into chunks.

4. 3. Add strawberries and some syrup to Jello.

5. 4. Put angel-food cake bits into Jello mold (about 1.5-2 quart size). Add some Jello and let it absorb into cake. Repeat till Jello mold is filled.

6. 5. Refrigerate, and de-mold. Serve. You can serve with whipped topping. If not this is nearly fat-free.
