Chicken -1/4 kg
Yogurt-5 tblspn
Onion-2 nos
Ginger -1 tspn
Garlic-1 tspn
Tomato puree/paste-of 2 tomatoes
Coriander leaves(chopped)
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Chili powder-2 tspn
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil
Water
To dry roast and grind
Whole dry red chilies- 5
Fenugreek seeds-1/4
Mustard seeds-1/4 tspn
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tspn
Cinnamon-1" stick
Fennel seeds-1 1/2 tspn
Cloves- 2 to 3 cloves
1. Dry roast all the ingredients "to roast and grind' .Grind to a fine powder and keep aside.You can make more quantity and store in
containers.
2. Marinate chicken pieces with yogurt,turmeric powder and salt.Keep for 1/2 hr.
3. Heat oil ina pan and saute onions till they turn golden brown.Now add ginger and garlic,saute till the raw smell goes.
4. Now add marinated chicken pieces and saute in high flame till they start to become brown on all sides.
5. Now add the red chilli powder and prepared ground powder.Saute well for few seconds.Then add tomato puree and mix everything well.
6. Add 1/4 cup water,sprinkle enough salt ,cover and cook till the chicken id cooked well and the gravy is thick enough.
7. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and remove from fire.
