Apple dumplings

This is a great recipe. Time consuming but well worth the trouble. 6 cups apples, chopped 1 tsp. cinnamon 12 Tbsp. sugar double recipe pie crust Dots of butter Sauce
1 ½ cups sugar 2 cups water ½ tsp. cinnamon ¼ cup butter

1. Bring sauce ingredients to a boil after making dumplings. Divide pie crust into 12 equal parts. Roll into a 6 inch round circle. Put ½ cup apples in center. Mix 1 tsp. cinnamon and 12 Tbsp. sugar together and sprinkle 1 Tbsp. onto chopped apples and dot with butter about 1 tsp. Moisten dough edges with water; pull corners over apples pinching to seal. Place dumplings in a lightly greased 13x9 inch pan. Pour sauce over dumplings and bake at 375 oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
