Bachelor's chicken curry/easy chicken curry

1.Chicken-1/2 kg
Onion-2 sliced
Green chilli-1 or 2 sliced
Curry leaves
Garam masala powder/Chicken Masala-1 1/2 tspn
Oil
2.To make paste
Tomato-2
Kashmiri Red chilli powder-2 1/2 tspn
Coriander powder-1 1/4 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Ginger-1/2"small piece
Garlic-5 podes
1. Wash chicken pieces well.Then make a paste of the ingredients listed as no 2 without adding water.Keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced onion.Saute till the onions change colour to golden brown.You can add 1/2 tspn sugar to the
onions.This will help to caramalise or browning of onions fast.
3. When onions are brown add the prepared paste,green chilli,curry leaves and saute till the raw smell goes.Add garama masala powder and mix everything well.
Now add chicken pieces.Mix everthing well; let the chicken pieces are well coated with the masala.Add 1/4 cup water.Sprinkle enough salt.Cover the cooker
and cook for 1 whistle in high flame.Then simmer the flame to low-medium.Then cook for 2 more whistles.Switch off the flame.
Let the pressure subside.Open the cooker and serve hot.
