Beef & broccoli stir- fry recipe
Recipe by(for the beef:)
1 lb sirloin steak: sliced thinly, uncooked
1 Tbsp corn starch
2 tsp soy sauce
(for the sauce:)
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 yellow onion, sliced
4 cups broccoli florets
1 Tbsp chopped ginger
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup beef stock
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp corn starch (+) 1 tbsp of water
Prep. Time → 15 min
Cook Time → 10 min
1. *serve with white rice as the bottom base on plate*
2. Tip: "pop steak in freezer for 20 mins, then take out to slice: it makes slicing easier"
3. 1. In a bowl, have the thin sliced, uncooked steak beef in it: sprinkle corn starch in the bowl: and soy sauce: mix together: make sure beef is coated in corn starch and soy sauce: let set aside for 5 mins:
4. 2. In a large skillet, get it nice and hot: with vegetable oil.
5. 3. Add beef to skillet: let cook a min on each side: when done, remove on clean plate.
6. 4. In the same skillet, add onion, garlic, ginger. Stir: sauté till 3 to 4 mins: develop good color.
7. 5. Add broccoli in skillet.
8. 6. In a large measuring cup add beef stock: to it, add brown sugar and soy sauce: stir together: pour in skillet over Brocolli: cook 3 to 4 mins, (reduced heat to medium)
9. 7.In a bowl, add corn starch: to it, add water: mix together. Add in skillet. Cook 2 mins:
10. 8. Add beef back in: stir. Turn off, top veggies on top of rice platter.
