Berry Crumble  of Forbidden - Recipefy

Oat crumble
125ml brown sugar
5ml baking powder
125ml porridge oats
250ml cake flour
100g butter, diced
100g mixed nuts or a mix of almonds and hazelnuts, finely chopped

Fruit mixture
250ml brown sugar
80ml lemon juice
1 banana, chopped
1 apple, diced
250ml frozen berries

to serve
custard, cream or vanilla yoghurt

Prep. Time → 20 min

Cook Time → 20-25 min

1. preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease 6 ramekins with butter or nonstick spray.

2. Oat crumble:
mix the brown sugar, baking powder, oats and cake flour. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until crumbly and stir in the nuts

3. Fruit mixture:
heat the brown sugar and lemon juice over low heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Cook 5-10min or until mixture forms a syrup. Add the fruit to the syrup (reserve a few berries to garnish) and simmer slowly for another 3min.

4. pour the fruit mixture into the greased ramekins and sprinkle over the crumbs topping. Bake for 20-25min or until topping is slightly crisp and pale brown

5. to serve:
garnish with the reserved berries and serve with custard, cream or vanilla yoghurt
