Cheddar scones recipe

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups extra sharp cheddar
8 Tbsp COLD unsalted butter: cut into tiny peices
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 egg
1/4 cup chopped green scallions
1 egg wash: (one egg beaten with a touch of water)

1. 1.In a standing mixer, mix dry ingredients in a another bowl and put in mixer.

2. 2. Add cold butter, and half of cheese. Mix till butter is size of peas.

3. 3.In the bowl with the heavy cream, add egg. Whisk together:

4. 4. Add the heavy cream in mixer. Mix. Add green onions. Mix:

5. 5.preheat oven to 400*. Get a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper.

6. 6. Take out batter, and press together and make a circle.

7. 7.Take a knife, and cut into triangles and put onto baking sheet. Brush the tops with the egg wash:

8. 8.Sprinkle Cheddar on top of scones.

9. 9.put in oven for 400* for 18 mins till golden brown
