Cherry crisp

1 bag of frozen cherries placed in a sauce pan with 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 TB lemon juice, 2TB corn starch; lightly simmer until thick (or 21 oz cherry pie filling)
1/2 cup biscuit mix
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup firm butter (or Earth Balance)
(optional 1/2 cup chocolate chips)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. Sift dry ingredients in a large bowl, stir in remaining ingredients minus the butter

3. Cut the butter into the mixture using a back and forth motion with two forks (it should look sandy when done)

4. Place cherry mixture evenly into the bottom of a glass pan

5. Spread the crumble over the cherries

6. Bake 30-45 minutes
