Chickpea salad/channa chat
Recipe by
Chickpea/Kabuli Channa-2 cups( soaked overnight and cooked with salt )
Onion-1 small chopped
Tomato-1 chopped
Coriander leaves-2 tblspn chopped
Kashmiri red chilli powder/paprika-1/4 tspn
Cumin powder-a pinch
Dry mango powder/amchur powder-1/4 tspn(optional )
Olive oil-1/2 tspn ( optional )
Lemon juice-1 tspn
Salt
1. In a bowl mix together all the ingredients except tomatoes.Keep for 10-15 mints.Add chopped tomatoes and enjoy as snack or brunch.
2. Notes:Add tomatoes just before serving.If you add tomatoes and keep for long time,water will ooz out from them and the salad will have more water content in it.So add chopped tomatoes just before you serve it.
3. You can also add vegetables like cucumber,carrot,potatoes or fresh/canned olives to the salad.
