Chocolate chip cookies

2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cups (1 pkg) milk chocolate morsels

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 9-11 min

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.

3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition.

4. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

5. Stir in morsels.

6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

7. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Coon on baking sheets for 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

8. Makes about 5 dozen cookies

9. For variety use 1/2 butterscotch and 1/2 milk chocolate morsels. Can also add toffee chips to mixture; as desired

10. Pan Cookie Variation: Grease 15 x 10 jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as above. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on on wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen bars
