Classic beef stroganoff
Recipe by
Serloin or round steak cut about 1/2 inch thick
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 lb of mushroom, or 1 can sliced and drained
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup water
1 beef bouillion cube
1 tbsp. catsup
1 clove garlic chopped,
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 cup sour cream
1. Cut meat into strips 11/2 x 1/2 inch. Melt butter in fry pan, cook and stir mushrooms, and onions until tender. Remove from pan.
2. In same skillet, brown meat over med heat. Stir in 1/2 cup water, the bouillion, catsup, garlic, salt. Reduce heat, Cover and simmer for 15 min (45 if round steak) If necessary, add water.
3. Meanwhile, prepare broad noodles
4. Mix 1/4 cup water with flour. Stir into meat. Mix. Add mushrooms and onions. Heat to boil. Stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve on Noodles
