Crackling Oat Bran Apple Cake of Courtney Glantz - Recipefy

INGREDIENTS FOR CAKE

1 1/3 cup crackling oat bran cereal, crushed up
1 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
4 cups chopped up apples

INGREDIENTS FOR FROSTING

3 ounces cream cheese
1 TBS butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups powder sugar
1 TBS milk, if needed

1. DIRECTIONS FOR CAKE

2. Cream together butter and sugar. Add in eggs and mix.

3. Add in cereal and remainder ingredients - mix well.

4. Pour into a greased 9X9 cake pan.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes…we think. It's never been written down. Check after 30 but lean more towards 45 minutes.

6. DIRECTIONS FOR FROSTING

7. Cream together cream cheese, butter, and vanilla.

8. Add in powder sugar. If too thick, add in a splash of milk.

9. Frost cake once it's cooled.
