Custard cake pudding
Recipe by
1.To make cake:(see notes )
2cups (260 grams) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tspn baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated white sugar
1/2 cup condensed milk ( see notes )
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
2.To make custard
Milk-2 cups
Sugar -3/4 cups
Custard powder-1 tablespoon
Gelatin-1 1/2 tspn
Cold water
Boiling water
vanilla essence-1 tspn
3.Honey-1/4 cup
1. 1.Cake Preparation
2. Preheat the oven to 350F. . Beat together the butter and sugar until they turns creamy.
Add the sweetened condensed milk,vanilla essence,milk to it and beat again until the mixture turns soft.
Meanwhile sift the flour with baking soda and baking powder. Now add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients ,mix with a spatula until everything get well mixed.
Pour the cake batter to the already prepared mould and bake in middle rack for 20-25minutes until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
Cool the cake to room temp and demold it from the pan.

4. Dissolve gelatin in 3 tblspn of cold water and keep it aside
Mix the custard powder in 3/4 cup of milk.Boil the remaining milk in a pan.When it starts to boil,add sugar and saute till the sugar completely melts in.
Then add custard and saute continously till the mixture is thick & of pouring consistency.Add the dissolved gelatin( which will be in the form of a jelly ) into the mixture an continue sauting till the gelatin melts. Remove from stove and let the mixture cool to room temp.
5. 3.Layering of custard cake
6. Pour honey into the same pan used for baking cake.Place the cake over it.
Then on the top, pour the custard mixture and spread it evenly all over the cake placed below.
7. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for 3-4 hrs .
Once set , demold and cut into desired shapes.
8. Serve chill.
Notes: You can use store bought butter cake also for this recipe.
