Favorite potato casserole

2 to 3 lbs. frozen southern style hash brown potatoes, thawed 1 cup diced onions 16 oz. carton dairy sour cream 1-10 ¾ oz. can condensed cream of chicken soup ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted 8 oz. package shredded cheddar cheese salt and pepper to taste ½ cup crushed potato chips or corn flakes ½ cup melted butter fresh chives fresh parsley

1. Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, onions, sour cream, condensed soup directly from can, butter, cheese, salt, and pepper. Spoon into a 9x13 baking dish. Top with potato chips or corn flakes. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. Garnish with chives and parsley.
