Fried artichoches - Carciofi fritti of Rosa Lanzillotti - Recipefy

6 Artichokes

2 eggs

2 Tablespoons beer

1 teaspoon grappa

1/2 cup of flour

Extra virgin olive oil

1 lemon

Prep. Time → 10 min

Cook Time → 20 min

1. Prepare the artichokes. Cut them into quarters and put straight into lemon water.

2. Blanch & refresh and allow them to drain well.

3. Make a batter with egg, a little beer and a dash of grappa.

4. Pat dry the artichokes with a kitchen cloth or paper towel.

5. Dust the quarter chokes in flour and shake off any excess flour.

6. Dip into the batter and allow any excess batter to drip off.

7. Fry them in plenty of olive oil til golden brown.

8. Place on paper towel to absorb excess oil,

9. Salt and go for it.
