2 pkg dry yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
2 cups boiling water
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 Tbsp margarine or butter
1 Tbsp. salt
2 eggs
5 cups flour (approximate)

Prep. Time → 30 min

Cook Time → 30 min

1. Dissolve yeast in water -- set aside. Thoroughly mix 2 cups boiling water, sugar, shortening, butter and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in dissolved yeast and eggs. Mix well. Add flour as necessary. Knead 5minutes.Put in oiled bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight. Roll 1/4" thick on well-floured surface. Cut into squares or oblongs with pizza cutter. Let rise until double (about 1 1/2 hours) Cook in hot oil 365 degrees until golden brown. Yield: 3-4 dozen
