Green bean casserole

This recipe came from Kim Anderson. 2 Tbsp. butter, melted 2 Tbsp. flour 1 Tbsp. sugar 8 oz. sour cream 1/8 to ¼ tsp. black pepper ¼ tsp. garlic powder 2 (16 oz.) cans green beans, drained 8 oz. grated cheddar cheese 1 can French fried onions

1. In a 2 qt. saucepan melt butter. Add flour and sugar, mix well. Stir in sour cream. Add seasonings. In a casserole dish, mix green beans, cheese and sauce. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Add onions on top and brown if desired. I usually make the recipe with 5 cans of beans and I double everything else except for the black pepper.
