Homemade flaky buttery biscuits recipe

2 cups self rising flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 Tbsp confectioner sugar
1/3 cup COLD unsalted butter: cut into tiny peices
1 cup buttermilk
1 some flour for rollings

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 20 min

1. 1. In a glass bowl, add self rising flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, sugar, mix a little. Add bowl in mixer bowl.

2. 2. Add cold butter. Mix a few mins till butter breaks down.

3. 3.While its mixing, add half of buttermilk. Then add other half.

4. 4. Put some regular flour on table. Take dough, and put on flour.

5. 5. Add some flour on dough. Working quickly, gather dough together while adding some flour at a time.

6. 6. Roll out a half a inch thick rectangle.

7. 7.once in rectangle, sprinkle lightly on top with flour.

8. 8. Fold it in thirds: one time done, sprinkle with flour. Roll again in rectangle, sprinkle with flour. Fold again.

9. 9. Re roll again and fold in thirds: (3 times In total)

10. 10. Once dough is in rectangle shape, take a biscuit cutter and put it on a parchment paper on a sheet.

11. 11. Put the sheet into the fridge, for 10 mins. (oven preheat 400*)

12. 12. Once 10 mins is done, take some egg wash, (egg&water) and brush the tops.

13. 13. Put tray in oven for 16 mins till puffy and golden brown.
