Homemade glazed doughnuts recipe

5 cups all-purpose flour
2 envelope of yeast
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups whole milk, warmed up to 115 degrees.
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 eggs
1 pinch of salt

(for the glaze:)
3 1/2 cups confectioner sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 water as needed

Prep. Time → 30 min

Cook Time → 30 min

1. 1. In a large measuring cup with the warm milk, sprinkle in little of sugar, and yeast on top; stir.

2. 2.In the standing mixer bowl, add eggs, vegetable shortening, and butter; sugar. Take a whisk and mix. When yeast foams, add in standing mixer bowl. Mix. take some of the flour and mix.

3. 3.Put bowl on standing mixer, add the rest of the flour; medium-low speed; mix for 5 mins on a dough hook.

4. 4.On a floured surface, add dough: Pull together. In a big bowl, brush with vegetable oil, and brush some vegetable oil on top; wrap with plastic wrap, and put somewhere warm to double.

5. 5.Take a baking sheet with parchment paper, and a little flour on top.

6. 6.Add flour on top of table, and add dough on it. Take a rolling pin, and roll out.

7. 7.Take a biscuit cutter, dip in flour and cut on top of dough: And take a mini biscuit cutter, and cut in middle. Take out doughnut hole, and place on baking sheet. Cover with towel, and let rise again for an hour; till double.

8. 8.Add vegetable oil in a large pot up to temp; take a spatula, and add doughnuts; cook 30 seconds on each side.

9. (For glaze;)
1.In a bowl, add confectioner sugar, and vanilla extract; and TBSP of water. Mix well.

10. 2.Take each doughnut, dunk and flip it, and put on cooking rack with parchment paper underneath.
