homemade meat sauce recipe

2 lbs fresh ground beef
1 yellow onion, finely chopped
1 cup red wine
2 cans of tomato puree
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 salt and pepper
1 fresh basil

1. * use with lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and stuffed shells, recipes*

2. 1. In a large sauce pan over medium high heat, add olive oil. Get nice and hot. Add ground beef: break up with wooden spoon.

3. 2.Add chopped onion. Salt: stir: let cook 8 to 10 mins.

4. 3.Add red wine. Mix. Let cook out for a min.

5. 4. Add tomato puree: put on low, lid half on, and cook for 3 and a half hours.

6. 5.When done, add fresh basil and salt and pepper.

7. 6.serve and use.
