5 cups all-purpose flour
2 envelope of yeast
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups whole milk, warmed up to 115 degrees.
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup vegetable shortening: melted
2 eggs
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup strawberry jam
2 cups granulated sugar, for coating the doughnuts

Prep. Time → 10 min

Cook Time → 10 min

1. 1. Put warm milk 110*, in large measuring cup:

2. 2.sprinkle over yeast: add a tsp of sugar: mix a little: set aside several mins.

3. 3.In a bowl with flour, mix salt:

4. 4.In standing mixer bowl, add melted vegetable shortening, and melted butter: egg, mix.

5. 5. When yeast is activated, add in standing mixer bowl.

6. 6.Add flour: mix a little: add on dough hook, put on medium speed, 5 to 6 mins.

7. 7.When dough is done, get bowl and oil with vegetable oil: add dough in it. Oil the top dough with vegetable oil, cover with plastic wrap.

8. 8.put somewhere warm, for an hour: till double in size: up to. 3 hours,if not risen right away:

9. 9. Take baking sheet, with parchment paper: and a little flour:

10. 10.Flour table: put dough on it: take rolling pin, and roll out: make sure it's even:

11. 11.take biscuit cutter, dip in flour, and cut out dough, and put on baking sheet.

12. 12.cover with towel, put somewhere warm, to rise half hour till double size:

13. 13.In a large pan, add vegetable oil: halfway:

14. 14.Add doughnuts to oil: (4 at a time) cook 2 mins on side: then put on baking sheet, with paper towel for a couple of mins:

15. 15.then dip both sides in a bowl of sugar, and put back on sheet.

16. 16.use a toothpick, make a little hole:

17. 17.use a piping bag, strawberry jam: fill doughnuts: when done, redip doughnuts with tops of sugar.
