Kabuli pulao
Recipe by
Basmathi rice-2 cups,soaked for 30 mints
Onion-4 sliced and deep fried
Carrot-1 cut into thin long slices
Beans-5 cut into 2 cm pieces
Green peas-a handfull soaked
Cauliflower-1 very small,cut into florets
Bread croutons/fried bread pieces-of two bread
Red chilli powder-1 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Coriander powder-1/2 tspn
Cumin seeds-1 tspn
Cashewnut paste-4 tblpsn
Yogurt-2 tblspn
Oil
Salt
1. Heat oil in a pan,add cumin seeds and let it crackle.Add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,cashewnut paste and
yogurt.Saute for 2-3 mints.Add the vegetables and cook for 4-5 mints.Add the soaked rice.Mix well.Add 4 cups of hot water.
Reduce the flame,cover and cook for 15 mints or till the water has dried up.Switch off the flame and let the rice rest for 10 mints.
After 10 mints fluff it with a fork or spoon .Add bread croutons and fried onion.Serve hot.
