Kanava/squid fry ( kerala style )

Ingredients
1.Kanava-500 gm
Ginger -garlic paste-2 tspn
Shallots/pearl onions-4 crushed finely
Red chilli powder-1 1/2 tspn
Coriander powder-1 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Pepper powder-1/2 tspn
Salt
2.Curry leaves
Oil-5 tblpsn
Directions
1. Clean and cut squid into pieces.Marinate with ingredients listed under "no 1 " and keep for 15 mints.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add marinated squid and curry leaves.Fry till the squid turns golden brown in colour. Preferably fry the squid in two batches.Remove from fire and serve hot with rice.
