Lamb Tagine of idavenport46 - Recipefy

2 tablespoons of oil
500g diced lamb
1 cinamon stick broken in two
1 teaspoon of ground ginger
1 teaspoon of tumeric
2 teaspoons of ground corriander
2 teaspoons of ground cumin
2 teaspoons of dried mint
half teaspoon of saffron strands
2 crushed cloves of garlic
salt and pepper
1 large onion
2 chopped medium size fresh chillis
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon honey
1 pint of lamb stock
1 can of chick peas

Prep. Time → 15 min

Cook Time → 90 min

1. marinade meat in oil, cinamon, ginger, tumeric, corriander, cumin, mint saffron garlic and salt and pepper

2. Put oven on to warm up 180 deg C / gas mark 6

3. In a oven safe pan, Fry onions

4. add meat and fry until browned (5 - 10 mins)

5. add chillis, chopped tomatoes, honey and stock to pan

6. bring to boil cover and place in oven

7. after 1 hour remove from oven and add drained can of chick peas, add more stock if required

8. return to oven for a further 30 mins

9. serve with flat breads or rice
