Marzipan toadstools of Molly Teague - Recipefy

250g 'white' marzipan*,
Red food colouring.

*The toadstools need to be stored in an airtight container and eaten within 3 weeks.

Prep. Time → 10 min

1. Cut the block of marzipan in half. Then, wrap one half in plastic foodwrap and put the other half in a small bowl.

2. Add three drops of red food colouring to the bowl and mix it in with your fingers. Then, break the marzipan into eight equal pieces.

3. Roll each piece into a ball, then squash them to make them into shapes of the tops of toadstools. Press your them into the bottom to make a hollow.

4. Unwrap the other half of marzipan. To make spots, break off a third of the marzipan and roll it into lots of little balls.

5. Press several little balls onto each toadstool. Then, break the remaining piece of marzipan into eight pieces.

6. Roll each piece between your fingers to make a stalk. Then, press a red top onto each stalk to complete the toadstool!
