(For the crust:)
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup Splenda sugar
1 1/2 tsp orange zest
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup COLD unsalted butter: cut into tiny peices
1/4 cup cold vegetable shortening, cut into cubes
3 egg yolks
1 a few tablespoons of ice water

(for the filling:)
3 apples: peeled, cored, and finely diced
1/4 cup Splenda sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp flour
1 zest of 1/2 orange
2 tsp juice of orange
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

Prep. Time → 20 min

Cook Time → 20 min

1. (For crust:)

2. 1. In a food processor, add flour. Baking powder, and vanilla extract.

3. 2.Add orange zest: whisk to combine.

4. 3.Add in cold butters: pluse together for a min:

5. 4.Add egg yolks: pluse again, while adding cold water: till crust combines:

6. 5.On flour table, put pie crust on table:

7. 6.wrap crust in plastic wrap. (should be 2) in fridge for an hour:

8. 7.In a bowl, add chopped apples. Put lemon juice over them, and mix.

9. 8.Take a muffin tin, and spray with non stick spray.

10. 9.In the bowl with the apples, add flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Orange zest: mix together: Add a little of juice of orange for flavor. Mix again, till apples are coated.

11. 10.whisk egg:

12. 11. Sprinkle flour on table: take pie crust out, knead with flour.

13. 12. Roll out with rolling pin:

14. 13. Take a biscuit circle cutter, (large and small) and cut the dough with it. Take a little knife and make a couple of slits: (on the smaller circles)

15. 14. The small ones are going to be the top:

16. 15.take the bigger piece circle and put in muffin tin: put apple filling in it:

17. 16.take egg wash, and brush the top: and take smaller circle and put on top: pinch the two together.

18. 17. Brush the tops with the egg wash: and sugar on top.

19. 18.put in oven for 375* for 25 mins till golden brown.
