Pazhampori/ethakkappam/banana fritters
Recipe by
Ripe banana/ethapazham-2,cut into long/medium long thin slices
Maida/All purpose flour-1 cup
Cardamom seeds- from 5 whole cardamom
Cumin seeds-1/4 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Salt
Sugar-as needed( add as per the ripeness of the banana )
Water-as needed( you will need about 1-1 1/2 cup of water )
Oil-for deep frying
1. Dry roast cumin seeds and cardamom seeds.Coarsely crush them keep aside.
2. In a deep bowl,mix together maida/all purpose flour,crushed cardamom and cumin seeds,turmeric powder,salt and sugar.Add enough water and make a thick batter.
3. Heat oil in a deep pan .Dip the banana slices in the maida batter and deep fry them until they are light brown and yellowish on both sides.
4. Enjoy with your evening tea.
