Peanut patties

Ingredients
2 1/2 cup sugar 2/3 cup white Karo 1 cup can milk 3 cups raw peanuts 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp butter 3 drops red cake coloring
Directions
1. Mix sugar, Karo, peanuts and milk in heavy saucepan on low burner. Stir with wooden spoon. Cook to soft ball, remove from heat, add butter, vanilla and coloring. Beat until color changes. Drop by teaspoon onto buttered pan or buttered wax paper.
