Pepper Chicken Curry of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

Ingredients
To marinate chicken

Chicken-1 kg
Lemon Juice-2 tblspn
Pepper Powder-3 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Salt

Ingredients for gravy
Onion-2 big sliced
Tomato-1 big chopped
1 piece ginger+6 cloves garlic-crushed
Green chilli-1
Crushed pepper-2 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Coriander powder-2 1/2 tspn
Fennel Powder-1/4 tspn
Garam masala powder-1/2 tspn
Whole Masala-1 piece cinnamon,4
cloves and 2 cardamom
Thick Coconut milk-1/4 cup
Coriander leaves, Curry leaves
Salt & Oil

Prep. Time → 61 min

Cook Time → 15 min

1. Marinate chicken with lemon juice,pepper
powder,turmeric powder ,salt & oil.Keep aside for 1 hr.
Heat oil in a pan.Add whole masala.When they splutter add onion.Then add crushed ginger and garlic.
Saute till the raw smell goes.Now add tomato and green chilli.Cook till tomato becomes soft.
Then add masala powders.Add only 1 1/2 tspn of crushed pepper.Remaining 1/2 tspn keep aside.
Saute till oil starts to appear.Add marinated chicken pieces.Mix well.Add enough salt,coriander leaves and curry leaves.Mix everything well.
Cover and cook for 5 mints in low flame without adding water.After 5 mints water from chicken will ooz out.
Then check if you want more gravy.If so add 1/4 cup more water.Cover and cook again for 10-15 mints.

2. When the chicken is cooked and the gravy is thick enough,add coconut milk.Mix well.Don't boil curry after adding coconut milk.Finally add the remaining 1/2 tspn pepper powder.Mix well and switch off the flame.
Curry is ready to serve.
